Human Resources Generalist – Community Mental Health

About the role

The Garry Hurvitz Centre for Community Mental Health at SickKids is seeking a full‑time Human Resources Generalist to support the HR department and provide advice to employees and managers across the centre.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding and selection processes, including posting positions, sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks and preparing employment agreements.
• Coordinate and administer HR policies with a focus on talent acquisition, compensation/benefits planning, performance management, training and employee relations.
• Provide backup support to the Payroll Coordinator and Benefits Specialist as needed.
• Administer updates in MyHR and ExpressNet, informing staff of changes.
• Assist with drafting and calculating severance packages for terminations.
• Conduct and analyze exit interviews to identify areas for improvement.

Required profile

• Experience delivering full‑cycle recruitment and onboarding.
• Familiarity with HR policy implementation and employee relations.
• Ability to support payroll and benefits administration.
• Strong analytical skills for exit‑interview analysis.
