Human Resources Generalist – Community Mental Health

About the role
The Garry Hurvitz Centre for Community Mental Health at SickKids is seeking a full‑time Human Resources Generalist to support the HR department and provide advice to employees and managers across the centre.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding and selection processes, including posting positions, sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks and preparing employment agreements.
- Coordinate and administer HR policies with a focus on talent acquisition, compensation/benefits planning, performance management, training and employee relations.
- Provide backup support to the Payroll Coordinator and Benefits Specialist as needed.
- Administer updates in MyHR and ExpressNet, informing staff of changes.
- Assist with drafting and calculating severance packages for terminations.
- Conduct and analyze exit interviews to identify areas for improvement.
Required profile
- Experience delivering full‑cycle recruitment and onboarding.
- Familiarity with HR policy implementation and employee relations.
- Ability to support payroll and benefits administration.
- Strong analytical skills for exit‑interview analysis.
