Volunteer Services Officer

About the role

The Volunteer Services Officer supports Catalyste+ by proactively matching Advisors to assignment needs, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring smooth deployment of volunteers across Canada and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage suitable Catalyste+ Advisors from the database to meet assignment requirements and maintain a diverse pool of volunteers.
• Provide end‑to‑end support for volunteer deployment, including travel coordination, visa assistance, pre‑departure briefings and post‑assignment documentation.
• Collaborate with program managers, in‑country teams and the accounting department to ensure smooth logistics and compliance.

Required profile

• University degree in International Development, Human Resources Management or related field, or 1‑3 years relevant experience.
• Experience working with volunteers in the not‑for‑profit sector is an asset.
• Excellent written English and strong customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience using database management tools such as QuickBase.
