Solar Project Manager – Renewable Energy

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Solar Project Manager to lead solar energy projects from planning through commissioning. You will own budgets, schedules, contractors and technical delivery while helping bring renewable energy installations to life.

Key responsibilities

• Manage solar projects from initial planning through installation, commissioning and handover.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans and delivery milestones.
• Coordinate engineers, installation teams, subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Conduct site assessments, oversee permitting, approvals and compliance with building, electrical, environmental and safety requirements.
• Monitor project costs, purchase orders, invoices and change orders, and identify risks before they affect delivery.
• Perform site inspections to verify installation quality, progress and safety compliance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing updates and resolving concerns.
• Oversee final inspections, commissioning, documentation and project handover.

Required profile

• Proven project management experience, ideally within solar or renewable energy projects.
• Strong technical understanding of solar PV systems, design and installation processes.
• Experience coordinating contractors, suppliers and technical project teams.
• Ability to manage schedules, budgets and competing priorities.
• Understanding of permitting, regulatory compliance and construction safety requirements.
• Degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Environmental Science or a related field.
• Proficiency with project management software and technical documentation.
