Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead day‑to‑day accounting operations for multiple restaurant, franchising, Canadian and U.S. entities within a fast‑growing quick‑service restaurant group. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, strong controls, and compliance across all locations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting for multiple entities, including month‑end and quarter‑end close.
• Prepare monthly financial statements with variance analysis and explanatory notes.
• Handle intercompany transactions, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Support year‑end audit with a Big 4 firm, preparing working papers and responding to queries.
• Oversee full‑cycle payroll, remit statutory contributions (PD7A, EHT, WSIB, WCB, WorkSafeBC) and issue ROEs, T4s, T2200s.
• Calculate and file GST/HST, assist with income‑tax payable, and prepare transfer‑pricing calculations.
• Maintain deferred revenue schedules, vendor invoices, credit‑card reconciliations, and employee expense reports.

Required profile

• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in restaurant, retail, franchise or multi‑entity environments.
• Strong understanding of full‑cycle accounting and payroll processes.
• Ability to manage multiple entities and priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
• Detail‑oriented, highly organized and capable of working independently.
