Finance Manager

About the role

Egg Farmers of Canada is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead and optimise the Finance unit. Reporting to the CFO, you will shape financial strategy, oversee operations and mentor a growing team in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, analyse and present monthly financial reports to managers, executives, provincial stakeholders and the Board of Directors.
• Lead the transition to new accounting software, including process redesign and technology adoption.
• Monitor financial activities and accounting processes across the Finance Unit and the Industrial Product Program Unit, adapting procedures as operations evolve.
• Plan and coordinate interim and year‑end audits, communicating results to the Audit Committee and Board.
• Develop and enforce accounting policies, ensure timely reconciliations, and strengthen internal controls and risk management.
• Manage, recruit, train and evaluate Finance staff, fostering a collaborative culture and succession planning.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in business, accounting, finance or related field.
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
• 7‑8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Proven experience supporting audits and presenting financial information to senior leadership.
• Experience with accounting system implementation or upgrades is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using financial software systems and enterprise accounting platforms.
