About the role

Follett is seeking enthusiastic Seasonal Retail Sales Associates to support its Ottawa campus bookstore. In this short‑term position you will engage with students and visitors, handle transactions, and keep the store well‑stocked during peak periods. The role offers flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and process cash, credit, and financial‑aid payments.
• Stock, organize, price merchandise, and set up in‑store displays and signage.
• Pick, pack, and fulfill both online and in‑store orders.
• Provide friendly customer service during campus events such as graduations and sports games.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, and general store tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Professional, friendly, and outgoing demeanor.
• Strong communication skills in both French and English.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lb regularly and stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift.
• Reliable, punctual, and available to work weekends.
• At least 18 years of age.

Required skills

• Basic computer literacy for point‑of‑sale and inventory systems.
