Project Manager – Commercial Construction (Calgary)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects for a well‑established general contractor expanding its operations in Calgary. The role offers high visibility with senior leadership and the chance to shape the company’s presence in Alberta.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from pre‑construction through close‑out.
• Lead planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement and financial reporting.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Oversee project documentation including contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders and meeting minutes.
• Partner with Site Superintendents to ensure successful delivery.
• Control project budgets, forecasts, invoicing and cost throughout the lifecycle.
• Mentor Project Coordinators and internal project staff.
• Network within the Calgary construction market and support growth of Alberta operations.
• Travel to project sites across Alberta as required.

Required profile

• 5‑10+ years of commercial construction experience as a Project Manager.
• Proven ability to independently manage tenant‑improvement and new‑construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, budgeting, scheduling and delivery.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑management skills.
• Self‑motivated, organized and comfortable in a growing office environment.
• Post‑secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering or related field (asset).
