Private Business Tax Manager (Bilingual FR/EN)

About the role

PwC Canada is hiring a bilingual (French and English) Private Business Tax Manager in Quebec City. The role sits in the Entrepreneurial & Private Business (EPB) line of service and works with private companies, entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals on audit, tax compliance and planning. It covers the full life cycle of a private company, from inception to growth, maturity and transition, and focuses on wealth management, compliance, cash flow management, equity expansion, divestiture and exit strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Work as part of a team solving complex business issues from strategy to execution.
• Contribute technical knowledge in the area of private business tax and help design and implement customized service plans for clients.
• Lead open conversations with teams, clients and stakeholders to build trust and anticipate stakeholder needs.
• Manage, develop, retain and mentor junior tax professionals.

Required profile

• CPA, CA or other relevant professional designation.
• Master's degree in Tax, or completion of Levels I, II and III of the CPA In-depth Tax Course (an asset).
• Experience in a small or mid-size accounting firm.
• Proven leadership with strong business development and entrepreneurial skills.
• Bilingual: proficiency in English and French, as English-speaking clients, colleagues and stakeholders will be supported.

• Business tax, corporate tax planning and self-assessment, direct tax and capital gains tax.
• Strong analytical capability, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple assignments and coach diverse teams.

The salary range is $80,200 - $130,200, based on skills, experience, qualifications and location. Eligible employees may also take part in variable incentive pay programs.
