Financial Reporting and Tax Compliance Director (Bilingual FR/EN)

About the role

PwC Canada is looking for a Director of Financial Reporting and Tax Compliance in Quebec City, within its Entrepreneurial & Private Business (EPB) practice. The role sits in tax accounting services, supporting businesses in preparing and reviewing tax provisions, tax returns and financial statements while confirming compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. It follows the departure of a valued team member and ensures continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a variety of projects, including compilations, review engagements and tax compliance engagements.
• Act as the right-hand of the local partners.
• Support the team in improving and evolving ways of working, and identify opportunities to scale efficiencies across projects.
• Arrange and sponsor assignments and experiences to help people grow, and promote diversity in teams.
• Build long-term relationships that add value to the firm and uphold the code of ethics and business conduct.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Canadian CPA designation or CPA Auditor, with 8-10 years of experience in a similar role in an accounting firm.
• Fluency in English and French, to support English-speaking clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
• Ability to coach junior staff and work effectively under pressure with multiple assignments.

Required skills

• Detailed knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Entities (ASPE).
• Knowledge of CSRS 4200 compilation engagements and CSRE 2400 review engagements.
• Knowledge of Canadian Audit Standards.
• Strong communication, listening and coaching skills, and analytical capability.

The salary range is $133,100 - $183,100, based on skills, experience, qualifications and location; eligible employees may also join variable incentive pay programs.
