Lead Hand – B Welder (Journeyman)

About the role

The Lead Hand – B Welder reports to the Vessel Supervisor and oversees job progress, employee performance, and package assembly to Enerflex standards. The role ensures strict adherence to health and safety policies while driving continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Provide oversight and task direction across multiple trade disciplines.
• Coordinate 3rd‑party inspections and X‑ray schedules with Quality Control.
• Lead daily toolbox meetings and issue Pre‑Job Hazard Assessments.
• Monitor safety compliance, report incidents, and maintain accurate time‑keeping.
• Inspect finished units to verify quality meets Enerflex expectations.

Required profile

• Valid Alberta Journeymen Certificate with Interprovincial Red Sealed Journeyman and Alberta B Pressure Certificate.
• Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing gas compressors or processing vessels.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience is an asset.
• Strong planning, organization, and communication skills.
