Group Manager, Brewing

About the role

Lead a six‑person brewing team at Labatt’s Turning Point Brewery, planning daily activities to meet production schedules while optimizing efficiency and maintaining high team engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage team relationships, conduct one‑to‑one development meetings and provide on‑the‑job coaching.
• Develop and monitor production plans with planning and procurement teams.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality and Packaging to achieve site goals.
• Implement management tools, SOPs and reaction plans, and oversee Skills Acquisition.
• Schedule shift patterns, manage workload and track production jobs and inventory via SAP.
• Execute health and safety programs and enforce safety and quality standards.
• Own department KPIs for volume, quality and safety, and lead autonomous team and ATO projects.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary qualification in Engineering, Science or Brewing, or 3+ years professional brewing experience.
• 1‑3 years supervisory or leadership experience.
• Willingness to work irregular hours as required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge of brewing equipment and processes.

Required skills

• Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
