Internal Auditor (Term)

About the role

The Internal Auditor provides high‑quality assurance services within the Office of Enterprise Risk and Assurance. Working closely with the ERA team, the role conducts audits, financial investigations, advisory engagements, and implements data‑analytics strategies to deliver data‑driven insights.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct internal audit and advisory engagements to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.
• Perform financial investigations, analysing data to identify unusual activity and trends.
• Identify and assess emerging risks through qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Develop reports, dashboards and presentations for senior‑level audiences.
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and escalate non‑compliance.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline with at least 7 of 14 CPA academic prerequisites.
• Minimum two years of related experience or equivalent education‑experience combination.
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment.

Required skills

• Advanced data‑analysis tools and techniques (e.g., Python, PowerBI).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Experience with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence for analytics.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis capabilities.
