Intern Architect – Design & Project Delivery

About the role

Our client is a design‑led architectural studio operating across Western Canada. They are looking for an Intern Architect who will work closely with the Principal on design development, documentation, and project delivery for multi‑family, high‑end residential, and commercial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to design development and documentation across multiple active projects.
• Support and help lead project delivery alongside the Principal Architect.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and stakeholder coordination.
• Coordinate with consultants and maintain ongoing project communication.
• Assist with bylaw and building code reviews to ensure compliance.
• Prepare and review drawing packages, including DP‑level documentation when required.
• Support continuous improvement of internal workflows, processes, and documentation standards.
• Explore and integrate emerging tools and technologies to enhance project delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 5+ years of experience within an architectural practice.
• Eligible for or working towards registration with AAA or an equivalent body.
• Experience in residential (wood‑frame) and/or commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of building systems and wood‑frame construction.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Confident communicator.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (asset).

What we offer

• Salary range $60,000‑$80,000 CAD per year, dependent on experience.
