About the role

We are looking for a Home Support Worker to provide personal care and assistance to individuals with disabilities in Hamilton, Ontario.

Key responsibilities

Administer bedside and personal care, ensuring comfort and safety.
Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene.
Assist in regular exercise, such as walking.
Feed or assist in feeding clients to ensure proper nutrition.
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe environment.
Plan therapeutic diets and menus tailored to client needs.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary plans.

Required profile

Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
Current CPR and First Aid certificates.
Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and strong client focus.
Ability to bend, crouch, kneel and perform repetitive tasks.
Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, and initiative.
Patience, honesty, and ability to work as a team player.
Prior experience in home support or caregiving is an asset.
