About the role
We are looking for a Home Support Worker to provide personal care and assistance to individuals with disabilities in Hamilton, Ontario.
Key responsibilities
- Administer bedside and personal care, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene.
- Assist in regular exercise, such as walking.
- Feed or assist in feeding clients to ensure proper nutrition.
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe environment.
- Plan therapeutic diets and menus tailored to client needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary plans.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
- Current CPR and First Aid certificates.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and strong client focus.
- Ability to bend, crouch, kneel and perform repetitive tasks.
- Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, and initiative.
- Patience, honesty, and ability to work as a team player.
- Prior experience in home support or caregiving is an asset.
