HACCP Coordinator – Food Safety (Calgary)

About the role

JBS Food Canada ULC is seeking an experienced HACCP Coordinator for its Mountain Creek Farms (MCF) case‑ready facility in Calgary. The role works closely with production teams to ensure hand‑made products meet the highest food safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the HACCP system for the plant.
• Develop, implement and maintain a GFSI‑aligned quality system.
• Set and monitor standards across production, shipping, receiving and packaging areas.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the plant, external auditors and government regulators.
• Create and manage forms and documentation to ensure compliance with all standards.
• Maintain accurate, audit‑ready records and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of HACCP experience in a fast‑paced food industry environment.
• Post‑secondary education in Food Science or a related field.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP principles.
• Familiarity with ISO 17025 standards considered an asset.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and make quick, logical decisions based on risk assessment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and a professional, safety‑focused attitude.
