Controller (Director of Finance) – 3+ month contract

About the role

Our client, a large privately held organization operating in defence‑related manufacturing and technology, seeks an experienced Controller to step into a key leadership position on a 3‑month contract. This role offers the chance to influence financial strategy across multiple business units in a fast‑paced, multi‑entity environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close process and oversee consolidated financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and maintain robust internal controls.
• Partner with senior leadership across diverse business units to drive financial governance.
• Identify and implement process improvements to support operational finance initiatives.

Required profile

• 5–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• CPA designation preferred or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and multi‑entity reporting.
• Experience in manufacturing, defence, aerospace, or other complex operational environments is an asset.

Required skills
