Content Development Associate

About the role

We are looking for a Content Development Associate to join our legal publishing team. Based in Canada and working remotely, you will use your legal background to help produce high‑quality publications for legal professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of legal publications available online and in print.
• Coordinate with authors to secure manuscripts on schedule and ensure compliance with author guidelines.
• Review and edit submissions for accuracy, style and legal relevance.
• Recruit new authors and arrange replacements as needed.
• Build and maintain relationships with practitioners, academics, judges, librarians and other legal community members.
• Serve as a point of contact for internal teams regarding publication matters.

Required profile

• A Canadian law degree, or an equivalent foreign law degree with a Certificate of Qualification from the National Committee on Accreditation.
• Minimum one year of legal practice, articling or legal publishing experience.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Proven capability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines for print, online and newsletter releases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with negotiation skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with AI‑enabled tools and large language models (LLMs), including prompt engineering.
• Proficiency with Adobe software for document preparation.
