Regulatory Inspector – Compliance Assurance

About the role

The Inspector will deliver compliance‑focused regulatory assurance activities across AGCO‑regulated sectors, including alcohol, gaming, lottery and cannabis. Reporting to the Manager, Regulatory Compliance, the role involves risk‑based inspections and stakeholder education.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct risk‑based inspections of regulated entities to verify compliance with legislation, standards and internal procedures.
• Document daily inspections, maintain activity logs, and prepare detailed inspection reports within AGCO’s internal system.
• Provide information and education to internal and external stakeholders to promote understanding of AGCO regulatory objectives.
• Support AGCO’s outcomes‑focused service delivery and maintain travel and vehicle logs as required.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in risk‑based regulatory enforcement and information‑gathering techniques.
• Direct experience conducting inspections and delivering excellent public service.
• Strong report‑writing and organizational skills with ability to meet frequent deadlines.
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels and make sound decisions in confrontational situations.
• Eligibility to work in Canada and ability to pass a criminal background check.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Experience using word‑processing software for report preparation.
