About the role
Join a locally owned Pharmaprix store to provide health, beauty and convenience services to your community. As a pharmacy nurse you will be the first point of contact for patients seeking clinical care, vaccinations and chronic‑disease support.
Key responsibilities
- Collect blood samples and perform basic point‑of‑care testing.
- Assess vaccination status and administer indicated vaccines such as influenza, COVID‑19, pneumococcus, herpes zoster and travel‑related immunizations.
- Deliver clinical services for hypertension, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia and anticoagulant therapy.
- Educate patients on the proper use of glucometers, blood pressure monitors and other self‑care devices.
- Welcome patients in a professional, caring manner and collaborate with the pharmacy team to expand nursing services.
Required profile
- Member of the Ordre des infirmiers et infirmières du Québec.
- Hold a DCS or a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Familiarity with the Québec Immunization Protocol (PIQ) and travel health guidelines.
Required skills
- Proficiency in performing venipuncture and point‑of‑care testing.
- Knowledge of vaccine administration and contraindications.
- Ability to educate patients on medical devices such as glucometers and blood pressure monitors.
