About the role
The University of British Columbia is seeking a licensed Psychologist to join the Student Health and Wellbeing team. You will provide a comprehensive range of psychological services to registered and admitted students, supporting their mental health through assessment, treatment, and referral within an integrated, multidisciplinary stepped‑care model.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver individual and group therapy, including brief and single‑session interventions.
- Conduct diagnostic assessments to clarify mental‑health needs, inform diagnoses, and guide treatment planning.
- Provide crisis intervention and coordinate care with medical providers, psychiatry, and other university units.
- Participate in training and supervision of Doctoral residents in a CPA‑accredited residency program.
- Develop and deliver programs that enhance student mental wellbeing and promote inclusion of under‑represented voices.
Required profile
- Registered/licensed Psychologist with experience in student or community mental‑health settings.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in service delivery.
