Vice President, Care Forward Programs

About the role

The Vice‑President, Care Forward Programs will provide strategic leadership for Healthcare Excellence Canada’s flagship Care Forward movement, shaping a future where all Canadians receive safe, high‑quality health care. Reporting to senior leadership, the role oversees the design, coordination and delivery of a portfolio of programs that advance key quality and safety indicators across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development, coordination and execution of multiple programs that support HEC’s strategic focus areas and core organizational targets.
• Drive progress on organizational performance metrics and expand HEC’s impact on care excellence nationwide.
• Partner with governments, health system leaders, Indigenous groups, patients, caregivers and community stakeholders to align interests and navigate complex environments.

Required profile

• Accomplished senior healthcare executive with a proven record of leading large‑scale transformation initiatives.
• Trusted collaborator with governments, Indigenous partners, health system leaders, patients and caregivers.
