About the role
Join a supportive rural health team delivering high‑quality nursing care to clients across the County of Flagstaff. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will work independently in client homes, providing holistic, client‑ and family‑centered care while supervising Health Care Aides.
Key responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for clients of all ages in community settings.
- Supervise and mentor Health Care Aides, ensuring safe and effective support.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and evaluate care plans.
- Provide wound care, palliative care, and client education as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with clients, families, and the Care Manager.
Required profile
- Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
- Active or eligible registration and practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Alberta.
- Strong assessment, organizational, and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work independently, lift medical supplies, and perform duties in all weather conditions.
