About the role
The University of British Columbia is seeking a Project Manager to support a multi‑country research portfolio focused on newborn and child health. The role will work closely with the Principal Investigator and an international team of researchers.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily implementation, finances and operations of global health projects funded through UBC grants.
- Prepare and maintain project operational documents, budgets, standard operating procedures, and grant reports.
- Monitor budgets, inventory, and forecast financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and recommend workflow improvements to ensure smooth day‑to‑day functioning.
- Coordinate with study sites in Africa, the USA, Canada and other regions.
Required profile
- University degree or equivalent experience in project management, health sciences, or related field.
- Experience managing research projects with multi‑site collaborations.
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Required skills
- Budget preparation and financial reporting.
- Development of standard operating procedures.
- Grant administration and compliance.
