AVP – Retail Property Management (Western Canada)

About the role

The West Retail AVP, Property Management will lead a team of property managers across Western Canada, driving strategic initiatives that improve service quality, revenue growth and cost efficiency for a large portfolio of retail assets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to increase revenues and reduce operating expenses through budget and capital planning.
• Partner with property managers to meet asset‑management objectives and ensure capital projects align with tenant business goals.
• Analyze financial statements, lease transactions and building operating systems to guide investment decisions.
• Provide leadership, mentorship and performance feedback to direct and indirect reports.
• Prepare and deliver professional presentations, reports and business case recommendations.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years progressive experience in commercial property management, including retail shopping centres.
• At least 5 years of people‑leadership experience managing large teams.
• Strong financial acumen with proven ability to interpret property operating statements and lease analyses.
• Demonstrated knowledge of building operating systems, environmental regulations and project management.
