Maintenance Manager

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Maintenance Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of our North York apartment building. The role involves managing equipment, facilities, and a small team to ensure a safe, well‑maintained living environment for residents. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining inventory of parts and supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare reports and statistics related to maintenance activities.
• Estimate costs for installation and ongoing upkeep of equipment.
• Administer contracts for supplies and services.
• Develop and implement schedules for safety inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Direct maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
• Hire, train, and supervise a team of 3‑4 maintenance staff.
• Plan and manage the facility’s operations budget.
• Oversee ancillary services such as cleaning, signage, parking, security, and snow removal.
• Organize and maintain inventory of parts and supplies.
