About the role
We are seeking a Microbiology Lab Technician to prepare samples for analytical and microbiological testing of ingredients and environmental samples, applying approved techniques in a fast‑paced laboratory environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare samples for indicator organisms, pathogens, and chemical analyses.
- Apply aseptic techniques and maintain media, reagents, and laboratory equipment.
- Perform quality control monitoring, including incubator temperature checks and control organism inoculations.
- Maintain inventory of expendable supplies and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
Required profile
- High School diploma or GED; 2 years laboratory experience (associate degree in Life Science preferred).
- Broad knowledge of microbiology testing laboratory concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to work safely, complete required training, and travel if needed.
Required skills
- Aseptic techniques.
- Microbiological sample preparation.
- Quality control monitoring (incubator temperature, media controls).
