Medical Transcriptionist (Remote, Full‑Time)

About the role

Insight Medical Imaging is seeking a dedicated Transcriptionist to provide accurate medical transcription support for its diagnostic imaging department. This full‑time remote position works Monday‑Friday, 10:00 am‑6:00 pm, and requires candidates to reside in Alberta.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe medical dictations and ensure high‑quality documentation.
• Organize, prioritize, and schedule work to meet departmental demands.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and other departments.
• Provide peer support and maintain a cooperative work environment.
• Handle sensitive situations with professionalism and proactive problem‑solving.

Required profile

• Grade 12 diploma and residence in Alberta.
• Completion of a recognized Medical Transcription program.
• 1‑2 years recent transcription experience, preferably in diagnostic imaging.
• Reliable hard‑wired home internet connection.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Windows operating system.
• Keyboarding speed of 75+ words per minute.
• Knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and billing codes.
