Environmental Coordinator

About the role

The Environmental Coordinator supports ACCIONA’s construction projects in Ontario by ensuring environmental compliance, preparing and submitting required documentation, and acting as a liaison between design, construction and regulatory teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit environmental documents to clients and regulatory agencies through Document Control.
• Review and comment on technical reports and coordinate responses to Metrolinx comments.
• Liaise with design and construction teams to resolve environmental compliance matters.
• Participate in Environmental Working Groups and project construction meetings, taking minutes and following up on action items.
• Coordinate audit findings and support environmental inspection documentation.
• Review Design DWG and Shop DWG files, flag discrepancies and communicate resolutions to stakeholders.
• Develop and manage project schedules for civil‑scope tasks, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
• Collect and verify subcontractor submissions, including shop drawings, safety and environmental paperwork, ITPs, quality packages and material data sheets.

Required profile

• Works under the direction of the Environmental Compliance Officer.
• Participates actively in Environmental Working Groups and construction meetings.
• Coordinates with architects, engineers, contractors and subcontractors on civil‑related project aspects.

Required skills

• DWG file review (Design DWG, Shop DWG).
• Document control for environmental submissions.
• Construction schedule development and management.
• Quantity take‑off and preparation of construction sketches.
