Pathology Summer Associate – Agricultural Solutions

About the role

We are looking for a Pathology Summer Associate to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Saskatoon, SK. The 6‑month fixed‑term position offers hands‑on experience in plant pathology, field work and laboratory techniques while supporting our research and development efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare seeds and sow disease nurseries in the field.
• Maintain disease nursery plots, including pest control and disease rating.
• Perform plant pathology laboratory tasks such as fungal isolation and culturing.
• Assist in greenhouse and growth‑chamber seeding, maintenance, and disease project rating.
• Contribute to a safe working environment for the team.

Required profile

• Valid Class 5 driver licence.
• Agronomic competence through a degree in Agriculture or related field and experience in the agriculture industry.
• Problem‑solving ability and flexibility to adapt plans as needed.
• Strong interest in plant sciences, canola development and plant pathology.
• Desire to achieve transferable skills such as time management and independent work.
• Experience with plants in field or greenhouse settings is a plus.
• Laboratory experience with microscopy or microbiology is an asset.
