Staff Pharmacist – Pharmacy Operations (Ontario)

About the role

The Express Scripts Canada Pharmacy is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join its Pharmacy Operations team in Ontario. You will dispense maintenance, acute and specialty medications while ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Verify prescriptions for accuracy, proper labeling, and controlled substance validity.
• Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians.
• Offer patient counseling on new prescriptions and address clinical queries.
• Train and mentor less‑experienced pharmacists and technicians.
• Maintain daily production, quality, and service levels using Kroll Pharmacy software.
• Serve as backup for other pharmacists as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Experience in a retail or mail‑order pharmacy setting preferred.
