Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Controller to help eCommerce founders scale confidently through accurate, reliable financials. You will lead a talented accounting team in a tech‑forward, fully remote environment that values structure, clarity and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee full‑cycle accounting, reviewing client reconciliations, financial statements and month‑end close deliverables.
• Manage, support and mentor Accounting Managers and Accountants across your client portfolio.
• Communicate financial insights to founders, helping them interpret numbers and make informed decisions.
• Improve processes, documentation and internal controls while identifying automation opportunities.
• Collaborate with Fractional CFOs to align operational accounting with financial strategy.
• Build scalable frameworks that enhance efficiency and support long‑term client growth.

Required profile

• CPA designation or equivalent professional credential.
• 5+ years of experience as a Controller or in a similar leadership role.
• Deep understanding of full‑cycle accounting and internal controls.
• Analytical mindset with strong process orientation.
• Excellent communication skills and a grounded leadership style.
