About the role

A leading international financial institution is looking for a strategic Finance Leader to head its specialized reinsurance segment. This high‑visibility position serves as the direct right‑hand to the divisional head and is positioned on a clear succession track toward future executive responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary strategic partner to executive leadership, translating complex technical data into clear, actionable insights for C‑Suite stakeholders.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of 15‑25 professionals through experienced managers, overseeing outgoing cash flows, premium processing, recoverables, collections, and technical accounting.
• Drive comprehensive financial reporting and internal flow management across the reinsurance business.
• Modernize the finance function by implementing robust documentation, performance metrics, and a structured mentorship program.
• Navigate legacy systems while prioritizing high‑impact transformation initiatives without compromising day‑to‑day operational excellence.

Required profile

• CPA designation is mandatory.
• Proven leadership experience within the insurance or reinsurance sector.
• People‑first leadership style with a strong focus on coaching, culture, and team engagement.
• Exceptional English proficiency; bilingual French/English is a significant asset.
• Operational agility to manage legacy systems and drive transformation.
