About the role

The British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) is seeking a motivated co‑op student to join its Transactions & Total Portfolio Risk team for the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 work terms. This internship offers hands‑on experience in risk management across both public and private market portfolios.

Key responsibilities

Develop risk factor attribution models for public equity portfolios.
Design and produce risk dashboards for public and private assets.
Enhance risk evaluation analytics and related processes.
Support ad‑hoc projects such as what‑if scenario analysis.

Required profile

Current co‑op or internship student interested in risk management.
Enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., finance, economics, or related field).
Ability to work within the Investment Strategy & Risk department and collaborate with a team of experienced risk professionals.
