Window Treatment Sales & Design Consultant

About the role

Linen Chest offers window treatment sales and design consulting positions in the Halton, Peel area (Kitchener, Cambridge, Guelph, Milton, Brampton, London), with full-time and part-time openings. The company provides a shop-at-home service, guiding homeowners through the creative concept, ordering and installation of high-quality window products. Consultants work on the road in their assigned territory, offering expert advice and selling products with digital tools, while the company generates the leads and lets consultants schedule appointments.

Key responsibilities

• Make phone calls and visit customers in person, and present to existing and potential customers
• Develop clear written proposals for current and prospective clients
• Plan and organize the personal sales strategy to maximize return on investment for the territory
• Write and deliver oral reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitors and opportunities for new products

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree or some college coursework preferred
• In-home or outside sales experience, preferably in custom products or services
• Retail experience, preferably in home furnishings and décor
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and insurance coverage
• Bilingualism is listed as additional information

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer software and ability to learn new technology and systems
• Attention to detail and awareness of interior design trends
