Malachite Forestry Ltd. is seeking an on‑site Wildland Fire professional to join its team in Dawson Creek, BC. The role focuses on fire prevention, safety, and suppression activities to protect forestry operations and surrounding environments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct fire prevention measures and evaluate fire hazards on site.
• Maintain and operate fire protection and suppression equipment.
• Participate in fire response and suppression activities as needed.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and life‑safety protocols.
• Support life‑safety procedures and collaborate with the team to uphold safety standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fire prevention and wildfire hazard reduction.
• Strong physical fitness and ability to work in remote, challenging outdoor conditions.
• Sound decision‑making and organizational skills in time‑sensitive situations.
• Valid certifications aligned with wildland firefighting standards (e.g., ICS, S‑100, S‑185) are an asset.
• Previous experience in forestry or silviculture is beneficial but not mandatory.
