Environmental Inspector

About the role

The Environmental Inspector will ensure that all construction activities comply with the Environmental Management System (EMS) and contractual environmental requirements for the PTUS project. Reporting to the Environmental Manager, the role involves daily oversight of environmental performance across pre‑construction, procurement and delivery phases.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily and weekly monitoring and inspections of works in line with the EMS, Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) and Permitting, Licensing, Agreement and Approvals (PLAA).
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports on environmental activities, including incident and spill reporting.
• Maintain logs and trackers for spills, noise, vibration, air quality exceedances, monitoring wells, trees, and other environmental parameters.
• Collect and track subcontractor sustainability data such as fuel use, waste, soil, water and construction materials.
• Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors and subject‑matter experts to implement mitigations required by EMPs and PLAA.
• Maintain and calibrate environmental handheld equipment (e.g., noise and dust monitors).

Required profile

• Ability to conduct daily and weekly environmental monitoring and inspections on construction sites.
• Capability to produce accurate environmental reports and maintain detailed logs.
• Strong coordination skills to work with construction teams, subcontractors and experts.

Required skills

• Use of environmental handheld equipment such as noise and dust monitors.
