Vice President, Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

About the role

The Vice President, Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management provides strategic direction and oversight for a global category portfolio, ensuring alignment with business line strategies while complying with regulations and internal policies. This senior leader acts as the executive liaison between the bank and key business stakeholders, handling all procurement‑related inquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Create business value by developing high‑quality, cost‑effective supply relationships and driving total cost of ownership savings.
• Partner with business line and functional leaders to shape sourcing strategies, secure alignment, and influence key stakeholders.
• Design and execute long‑term, innovative sourcing plans that reduce cost, increase revenue, improve operational efficiency, and mitigate risk.
• Manage supplier relationships, deepen supplier management capabilities, and ensure consistent communication across internal and external audiences.
• Develop deep category expertise, expand supplier coverage, and oversee end‑to‑end category management.
• Participate in ongoing reassessment of supplier risk frameworks, addressing financial, regulatory, operational, reputational, and external risks.
• Utilize standardized measurement, analytics, and performance management tools for consistent supplier tracking.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supplier management within a large, complex organization.
• Strong ability to influence executive stakeholders and build cross‑functional partnerships.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering cost savings, risk mitigation, and operational improvements.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for internal and external audiences.
