U.S. Tax Senior Manager (Bilingual FR/EN)

About the role

PwC Canada is hiring a U.S. Tax Senior Manager for its International Tax practice in Montreal. The role sits in the International Tax Desk and advises multinational clients on cross-border tax needs, including global tax rates, cost reduction, regulatory inquiries, tax laws and reporting, and planning strategies. It reports to senior members of the U.S. Corporate Tax team across Canada and requires fluency in English and French.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients' U.S. tax needs, including reorganizations, loss limitation rules and earnings stripping.
• Plan and review U.S. federal, state and local tax compliance projects for a broad range of clients.
• Support cross-border mergers and acquisitions, from due diligence and financing structures to post-merger integration.
• Take part in business development to identify and research opportunities with new and existing clients.
• Stay current on federal and state income tax changes and their impact on the client portfolio.
• Resolve team issues, coach others and simplify complex messages for clients.

Required profile

• Experience in U.S. federal and state corporate income tax.
• US CPA, Canadian CPA or another relevant professional designation.
• Fluency in English and French.
• A Master's in U.S. Taxation is considered an asset.

Required skills

• Experience with U.S. domestic and international tax issues, including tax research.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Experience with OneSource or GoSystem and tax research tools such as Checkpoint, BNA or CCH is an asset.

The salary range is $133,100 - $183,100, with possible variable incentive pay for eligible employees. The position follows the departure of a valued team member and is open to candidates who can adapt to the hiring process.
