U.S. Tax Senior Associate (Bilingual FR/EN)

About the role

PwC Canada is hiring a bilingual (French/English) U.S. Tax Senior Associate for its International Tax desk in Montreal. The role works with multinational companies on their cross-border tax needs, helping manage global tax rates, find cost-reduction opportunities and respond to regulatory authority inquiries. It follows the departure of a valued team member.

Key responsibilities

• U.S. corporate federal and state income tax compliance
• Preparation and review of U.S. tax provisions
• Tax research at federal and state level, including drafting memos and technical analyses
• Other tax calculations such as IRC 382 and earnings and profit calculations
• Work exclusively with public and private clients
• Delegate to others, coach them and deliver results
• Review own and others' work for quality, accuracy and relevance

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business
• Experience with U.S. federal and state tax matters, including tax research
• Experience in a public accounting firm
• Fluency in English and French
• Strong written and oral communication, teamwork and analytical skills

Required skills

• U.S. federal and state tax knowledge
• Microsoft Office and Go Systems tax software (desirable)
• Research platforms such as Checkpoint, BNA or CCH (considered an asset)
• U.S. CPA or EA designation is an asset

The salary range is $58,400 - $97,500, based on skills, experience, qualifications and location. Eligible employees may also join variable incentive pay programs.
