Treatment Staff – Part‑Time Respite Services

About the role

Join St.Amant’s Children’s Respite Services in Brandon, Manitoba, providing high‑quality, person‑centered care for children and youth with developmental disabilities or autism. The role involves rotating bi‑weekly schedules to support residential and community activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personal care such as feeding, bathing, grooming and toileting.
• Support individuals in building new relationships and engaging in community activities, often acting as an “exploring pair.”
• Implement and document daily activity schedules and treatment plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinate with external agencies, schools and community resources as outlined in treatment plans.
• Apply Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention techniques to manage challenging behaviours.

Required profile

• Grade XII Diploma or G.E.D.
• Minimum two years’ experience providing services to people with disabilities; experience with children preferred.
• Certification in CPR and Emergency First Aid (required).
• Certification in Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention (asset) and completion of St.Amant training during probation.

Required skills

• CPR and Emergency First Aid certification.
• Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention techniques.
• Behavior management and medication administration training.
