Community Homeshare Provider

About the role

St. Amant is seeking a compensated Community Homeshare Provider to welcome an adult with a developmental disability into their home. You will create an inclusive environment and build a meaningful, long‑lasting connection while supporting the individual’s independence and community participation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a safe, well‑maintained home with a private bedroom, bathroom, and activity space for the individual.
• Engage in recreational and life‑skill activities, transitioning between support and mentorship as needed.
• Collaborate with the individual’s family, cultural community, and social network, respecting their rights and choices.

Required profile

• Ability to offer regular transportation and live near bus routes, preferably in the south‑end of Winnipeg.
• Strong English communication skills and a willingness to include the individual in your family and social circles.

Required skills

• Capability to support skill‑building and community connections for a person with developmental disabilities.
• Flexibility to shift between caregiving and mentorship roles based on the individual’s needs.
