Host Ambassador – Cornwall (Upper Canada)

About the role

The Host Ambassador supports Canada Homestay Network’s mission by qualifying new and existing host families in the Cornwall region. Reporting to the Host Capacity Lead, the role is hybrid, combining in‑person visits with administrative tasks, and offers a flexible part‑time schedule of up to 25 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑person interviews and home visits for new hosts and revisits for existing hosts to verify that rooms and family environments meet CHN standards.
• Enter interview data, criminal record checks, host agreements and other documentation into the CHN system while maintaining data integrity.
• Field inquiries from prospective hosts, guide them through the application and onboarding process, and perform annual host reviews.
• Represent CHN at community events, building relationships with local families, students, agents and colleagues.

Required profile

• Strong sales and interpersonal abilities with a willingness to promote the CHN host program.
• Excellent communication skills, including conflict resolution and business writing.
• Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to develop relationships within the local community.
• Working knowledge of email clients or webmail and attention to detail in documentation.
• Familiarity with CHN policies, procedures and the cultural backgrounds of international students.

• Hourly compensation ranging from CAD 20 to CAD 22.
