Transfer Pricing, Customs and International Trade, Senior Associate

About the role

PwC Canada is hiring a Senior Associate for its Transfer Pricing, Customs and International Trade line of service in Toronto. The role focuses on advising clients on cross-border transaction matters, helping businesses set appropriate prices for transactions between related entities, stay compliant with tax regulations and reduce the risk of disputes. It is a newly created position in a fast-paced, collaborative team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in collecting and analysing data and writing background documents, including short memos and research papers
• Research data using publicly available sources and firm-specific databases
• Draft client deliverables such as emails, letters and reports
• Follow risk management and compliance procedures
• Stay up to date with developments in the area of specialism
• Give constructive feedback, share knowledge, collaborate and suggest improvements
• Build and maintain an internal and external network, and learn how PwC works as a global network of firms

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or International Business; a graduate degree is an asset
• Interest in upskilling for a digital world and openness to learning new tools
• Conscientious, self-motivated, detail-oriented, with strong organisational and analytical skills
• Ability to adapt, prioritise and manage changing priorities within a team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Required skills

• Ability to use public databases and PwC proprietary benchmarking tools
• Proficiency with Excel, Power BI, Alteryx and similar software
• Financial modelling, financial statement analysis and international taxation

What we offer

• Salary range of $60,000 - $100,100, depending on skills, experience, qualifications and location
• Eligible employees may join variable incentive pay programs
