Transaction Services Senior Associate (Bilingual FR/EN)

About the role

PwC Canada is hiring a Transaction Services Senior Associate in its Financial Due Diligence practice, based in Montreal. The role sits within Deals Transaction Services and supports buy-side and sell-side due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and capital markets. It is bilingual (French and English) and replaces a departing team member.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in meetings with top-level management to gather information for due diligence and help drive in-depth financial analysis of client and target data.
• Build a comprehensive understanding of target companies, including their industry and key business drivers.
• Analyze financial data to identify deal issues and value drivers.
• Prepare transaction analyses such as Quality of Earnings, normalized net working capital and debt and debt-like items analysis, using data analytics tools.
• Focus on buy-side financial due diligence and vendor assistance / sell-side due diligence and carve-outs.

Required profile

• Solid audit experience at Senior Associate level.
• A Chartered Professional Accountant designation (or local equivalent) preferred.
• Fluency in English and French, as the role involves supporting English-speaking clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
• The position does not support completion of the Canadian CPA designation.

• Engagement team management and leadership skills.
• Preferred: Alteryx, data analysis, budget analysis, business valuations, earnings quality, carve-outs and deal structures.

• Salary range of $60,000 - $100,100, with possible variable incentive pay.
