Transaction Services Manager - Financial Services (Bilingual FR/EN)

About the role

PwC Canada is hiring a Transaction Services Manager (bilingual French/English) for its Financial Services line of service, within Deals Transaction Services and the Financial Due Diligence practice. The team helps clients through mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and capital markets, performing due diligence and other M&A activities for insurance, banking and capital markets, asset and wealth management and fintech. The role is a continuation of a previous team member's position.

Key responsibilities

• Perform in-depth financial analysis of client and target data to identify deal issues and value drivers in Financial Services
• Prepare transaction analyses such as quality of earnings, normalized net working capital and debt and debt-like items analysis, using data analytics tools
• Act as a trusted adviser, giving advice on behalf of the client
• Deliver client-facing projects as the main daily contact for senior clients, planning, monitoring progress and meeting deadlines
• Work on large complex assignments and lead work streams on smaller and medium engagements
• Build relationships with clients and internal contacts and act as an ambassador for PwC
• Coach less experienced staff and develop other team members

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant designation (CPA or local equivalent)
• Manager-level professional experience with solid financial due diligence experience
• Experience with Financial Services companies
• Fluency in French is required for Quebec-based roles; outside Quebec it is an asset
• The role does not support completion of the Canadian CPA designation

Required skills

• Proven financial and business performance analysis, presentation and report writing
• Team management and leadership
• Data analytics tools such as Alteryx, Power BI and Tableau (desirable)
