About the role
The Ticket Seller provides premium, concierge‑level service for patrons of the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts. Working across three venues, you will handle ticket sales and related customer interactions both online and in person.
Key responsibilities
- Sell tickets, manage seat selection, and process extended purchases such as pre‑ordered drinks and event parking.
- Assist individual and group buyers through the ticketing platform, phone helpline, and at the box office.
- Monitor and respond to all emails, calls, and messages received by the Concierge Services helpline.
- Resolve routine ticketing queries and escalate complex issues to the Ticket Captain or Patron Services manager.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of current events, subscription packages, membership options, and sales policies.
- Ensure the point‑of‑sale system is operational and that all necessary supplies are ready before each event.
- Keep the Concierge Services area organized and presentable for patrons.
Required profile
- Strong customer‑service orientation with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible, on‑call hours that vary month to month based on event activity.
- Comfortable handling multiple communication channels (online, phone, in‑person).
- Attention to detail and ability to follow ticketing procedures accurately.
- Team‑player who can collaborate with venue staff and management.
- Reliability and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
Required skills
- Proficiency with ticketing platforms and point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
- Basic computer skills for email and online ticket management.
- Telephone etiquette and effective written communication.
- Ability to troubleshoot routine ticketing issues.
