Technical Recruiter (Canada IT Staffing)

About the role

Hirestaff.ai is a global talent acquisition and staffing provider, and its Canadian technology consulting and staffing arm recruits for IT, engineering, healthcare, life sciences, ERP, cybersecurity, AI, cloud and digital transformation roles for Fortune 500 companies, public sector and government clients across Canada. It is looking for an experienced Technical Recruiter with hands-on Canadian recruitment experience, able to thrive in a fast-paced staffing environment. The position is full-time and requires working onsite, 8pm to 5am.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from requirement analysis through onboarding.
• Source, screen, interview and qualify candidates for contract and permanent IT positions.
• Recruit for technologies and build pipelines of passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Dice, Monster, CareerBuilder, Google X-Ray and other sourcing techniques.
• Conduct technical and behavioural pre-screen interviews.
• Negotiate compensation and manage candidate expectations.
• Prepare candidates for client interviews and work with account managers and clients to understand hiring needs.
• Submit candidates through VMS/MSP portals and monitor submission status.
• Maintain accurate records in ATS/CRM systems and meet weekly and monthly recruitment KPIs.

Required profile

• 1-2+ years of experience in IT recruitment.
• Experience recruiting for Canadian clients.
• Proven experience recruiting technical professionals across multiple IT domains.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, negotiation and candidate management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple requisitions at once.

Required skills

• Boolean searches, LinkedIn Recruiter, Google X-Ray and passive sourcing.
