About the role
The Team Lead Pharmacy Operations will work closely with the Supervisor to guide a pharmacy operations team, delegate work, and ensure daily operational goals are met. This role serves as a successor to the Supervisor position and can act as a backup for other lead positions within the department.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, communicate, coordinate, and interact with all staff to maintain respect, integrity, operational efficiency, and patient‑focused service.
- Provide metric‑based updates to the Supervisor at regular intervals.
- Support the Supervisor in developing and executing policies and practices.
- Review and analyze reports, obtain data for planning, and track work‑in‑progress.
- Assist the Quality Assurance team in identifying, investigating, and following up on risk incidents and quality issues.
- Act as an escalation point for PSP and provider solutions workflows.
- Allocate resources to ensure effective delivery of departmental service levels.
- Identify staff non‑adherence to scheduling, attendance, and workforce management policies and report trends.
- Collaborate on workforce management, attendance statistics, and activity metrics analysis.
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues and identify education needs for team members.
Required profile
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Analytical mindset for reviewing reports and metrics.
- Ability to manage workforce and attendance issues.
- Experience supporting quality assurance and risk management processes.
Required skills
- Understanding of pharmacy technology, communications infrastructure, software applications, databases, and call processes used to serve patients.
